The rate of Inflation for the month of February went up to 14 per cent from the initial figure of 13.8 percent in January.
This represents a marginal increase from the previous month's figure . The rate is the highest since march 2010.
However the monthly change rate for February was 1.1 percent against the 3.9 percent recorded in January.
On the regional level, the Ashanti region recorded the highest inflation rate of 16.7 percent.
Speaking to JOYBUSINESS Head of economic statistics, Edward Asuo - Afram attributed the increase in inflation to the increase transport fares, utility tariffs and petroleum products.
