One of the two people who were shot at by an angry policeman at the Derby Avenue branch of Cal Bank in Accra on Saturday, Nathaniel, has denied reports that he attempted to snatch the gun from the police officer.
“According to the Police Public Relations Officer, the officer in question said I [Nathaniel] held his weapon or I was trying to reach for his weapon that is why he fired; we can’t work with this,’’ he noted.
According to Nathaniel, everyone has an opinion, but "when the CCTV surveillance comes out, we will all know what really went on in the bank".
"I didn’t go in for any policeman’s weapon, what am I going to do with his weapon," he quizzed.
