So long as appointments to the Boards of public entities are not based on competence but jobs for the boys (including girls) and other political considerations we cannot really progress. Even for the post of Messenger I would hesitate a billion before giving it to Eva under extreme pressure.

And do you know that all the MPs are appointed to Boards? How would they get the time to really follow the entity's affairs and 'direct' its operations? We are just deceiving ourselves.

Nobody can hide the light and true destiny of the great nation of Akan. they use all kinds of schemes and tricks to undermine or deny a proper standard to us but we shall never surrender. we shall change and adapt as like the Israelis we are the chosen people of God and he in his great design has made us diverse but unified in spirit. the ashantis like the tribe of Judah are and will remain an integral part of our being to to attack any one part we all end up feeling it sooner or later. they have succeed in turning some of our chiefs and kings against us and work for their evil ungodly agenda but we still see clearly . God has brought us into the 21st century and with that a new system of governance and state of mind based on democracy since it is HE alone who blesses the individuals with the gift of leadership wisdom and justice irrespective of status at birth. he has shown us the blue print of the way forward in the bible and other holy books and the time has come to free ourselves from this man made bondage called Ghana. just as in the Ukraine we must fight so the truth will come out , fear not the battle as they will crumble like the walls of Jericho . cast away our so called fake leaders and politicians who are nothing but cowards and like our enemies fear even their own shadows . yes God has put a million fears in their empty bodies as he who does not fear the Lord , the Lord will ensure all fears of the world will reside in him. They threaten us with superstition , juju and what have you and we say fuck you and go to hell as the divine power is with us . Yes all the tribes of Akan are fingers on the same hands and God has ordained we remain united so our strength and light will be visible throughout the whole world and universe , our time has come . everyday its becoming clearer and clearer to all children of Akan that we must prepare mentally for a battle of freedom . they come with tricks that say we must take a non Akan as our leader because its nice ? do they not think that out of 30 million Akans we can not find sensible down to earth leaders and warriors to lead our own people to our own destiny? a govt of the people and by the people is what the 21st century democracy is all about . let them continue to play with the consensus and other figures that justify their fantasy and enable them to marginalize the participation of the Akan majority in the Affairs of their own land , to marginalize us thus preventing us to afford a better standard for our people . The had of God has given them pestilence after pestilence but they refuse to let our people go , soon they will be swept away like chaff in the hurricane of fury . Long live the republic of Akan and don't you forget it as now the Fanti speakers, Twi speakers, Ashantis and other tribes of Akan are now one .

I would advise bro Atubiga to leave Eva alone and go to read the NITA Acts 771, 2008 and Electronic Transactions Act 772 to ensure that the board does the right thing this time for the betterment of Ghana.NPP passed these laws but apparently didn't implement them and it appears NDC is doing their own thing, which is not helping them achieve their agenda works!

This time around the NITA Board should be made work based mainly on its mandate under NITA Act 771, 2008, portions of which I provide below. NITA is essentially a Regulator for ICT such like NCA is REgulator for Broadcasting and Telecom.

The last NITA board Chair same Prof Qyanor basically did exactly what the write-up here contains, but not its objects under Act 771, 2008. Where did the author get all the plenty things to write on and disregarded the Act 771, 2008? What the Board did the last time is like National Communications Authority working under Acts 769, 775 ,2008 which expects them to be Regulator, but go ahead to limit themselves to setting up and operating Broadcasts and Telecom Networks.

As for Eva Lokko, only those who didn't follow closely how she ran down GBC, keeping GBC cheques in her custody thereby allowing unscrupulous individual around her to steal money from those cheques through forgery, ended up in two courts (her case with GBC union appears to be still ongoing, but she lies to people that it is finished!) would belief that she would be of use to NITA. Eva would go to NITA and speak plenty and do very little I can assure you. It is really sad such a potentially brilliant engineer turn IT expert would have an attitude which would not make up put her skills and knowledge to constructive use. We rest our case while time tells.

Object of Agency:
The object of the Agency (National Information Technology Agency) is to regulate the provision of information communications technology, ensure the provision of quality of information communications technology, promote standards of efficiency and ensure high quality of service.
Functions of the Agency
For the purpose of achieving its object, the Agency shall
(a) Perform the functions of the certifying Agency under the Electronic Transactions Act, 2008 (Act 772)
(b) Implement and monitor the national communications technology policy;
(c) Issue licences under this Act and ensure fair competition among licence holders;
(d) Implement and enforce the provision of this Act, the Electronic Transactions Act, 2008 (Act 772) and regulations made under the Act;
(e) Resolve matters that involve domain names between the Domain Name Registrar under the Electronic Transactions Act in Accordance with the provisions of this Act;
(f) Monitor, enforce and ensure effective compliance with conditions contained in licenses and tariffs;
(g) maintain registers of licences and applications for licences;
(j) collect fees and other charges to be paid for the Agency under this Act;
(k) investigate and resolve disputes between licence holders under the Electronic Transactions Act referred to the Agency by license holders;
(l)investigate complaints by users who fail to obtain redress from a licence holder;
(2) In discharging its functions, the Agency shall take into account the following:
(a) any principle that regulatory activities should be transparent, accountable, proportionate, consistent and targeted only at cases in which actions is needed;
(b) any other principle that represents best regulatory practice;
(c) the protection of the interest of consumers under the Electronic Transactions Act, 2008 (Act 772) as regards the choice, price, quality of service and value for money;
(d) the needs of persons who are physically challenged, elderly and those on low incomes;
(e) the opinions of consumers and of members of the public generally; and
(f) the different interests of persons living in rural and urban areas
