I have always respected Arther K's write ups but I really do not agree with him on most of the assertions here. Its ok to revisit history and challenge Rawlings to present himself for investigation but it is not accurate to attributed allegations of curruption unearthed during 2013 on Mahama. To fight corruption, you have to first expose it and that is exactly what Mahama did. Nobody forced Mahama to investigate Gyeeda, SADA and set up presidential task forces which revealed the Subah rot. He has shown that he is willing to investigate allegations of corruption and reveal perpetrators to the general public and possible prosecute them. Nobody has yet been prosecuted but we must know that under democratic rule, everybody has a right and those rights must be respected. It takes time to gather evidence and prepare dockets for prosecutions. His efforts are clear and Rawlings could not have turned a blind eye to it. I don't think AK wants to follow his compatriots in the NPP who want to be obstinate in the face of all these facts just to discredit Mahama's government.

Everybody in Ghana and some Ghana lovers arround the world can remember that, NPP whilst in power had a special court for JJ. This court was there for a very long time, where anybody who found something wrong or misdeeds on JJ and his administration could go to, to launch his or her complain.
My question to you (Dr Arthur Kennedy ) and your NPP is, why should you wait so long to start complaining about somebody your government set a special court for, just to start complainig, abusing, and saying things you can´t prove now, when you are not in office? Why didn´t you do that during your time of office? Take him (JJ) to court, if you are sure what you are saying is true, or when you find his allegations made on Kufour is false. Any person or Party who is not prepared to help in building mother Ghana must stop disturbing the government and JJ.

He has committed the greatest crimes imaginable in the nation's history against the state and he would not have any legs to stand on if he were to be prosecuted. The unsubstantiated allegations of corruption he continues to make against others pale into nothingness when compared to his own crimes against the state.
Rawlings portrays himself as innocent and without blemish. In the name of reconciliation,probity, accountability peace, stability, and progress of our beloved nation, why don't we amend the constitution and begin the process of trying all past presidents and their associates in a competent court of law, from 1992 to date. This will afford these people who have served their nation in various capacities the opportunity to clear their names once and for all of any suspicions and allegations of corruption and other crimes against the state. All who are found guilty would be punished or pardoned as the citizens may decide .This process will put all the petty squabbles and allegations behind us . We can then start on a clean slate and hopefully achieve the "Better Ghana Agenda."

I strongly believe that Rawlings is confident he personally has not done anything corrupt to keep him from charging others of the same vice. How could he really in good conscience get on others' cases, if he knows he is culpable for corruption, too?

How does Rawlings respond to these allegations? The Scancem one, we all know, was rigorously pursued by Kweku Baako up to Scandinavia, but did not stick. How about the sale of Nsawam Cannery? Was it not the one that caused the Kufuor Administration to send Mrs. Rawlings to Court? How did that end?

Well, as much as Rawlings want to keep us all on our toes to eschew Corruption, he must dare anyone with provable case against him come out with the evidence. Meanwhile, Arthur K. must also be made aware that the fact that one could is suspected of corruption should not stop that person to admonish us to stay out of it. I understand the implied hypocrisy but in the absence of valid, established case against someone, we cannot shut the one up from calling for better morals.

Meanwhile, why does Arthur K. not lead a crusade to prove his allegations against the former President? We know both have been longtime enemies, since Arthur K.'s Varsity and Student Union days.

In fact, if Rawlings was truly corrupt, the Law must deal with him, in one way or another, despite the immunity the Constitution shields former Presidents with. Similarly, we should find a way of bringing all former Presidents to book on corruption.

I believe Arthur K. does not have in him to put the necessary emphasis on the fight against corruption in Ghana, either.

His case with a friend that used Arthur K.'s credentials to practice Medicine illegally in the USA dampens his reputation as anyone upright enough to fight corruption at home.

I have never heard Arthur K. take the case of corruption seriously to our other Politicians. Let him take the mantle of chiding his fellow Politicians on corruption and we would not have to listen to J. J.'s bellowing.

Some ten years ago I met a young Ghanaian student at the University of Maryland in Eastern Shore in America. When I told him of all the evil JJ had done to the nation, he could not believe it. He said that he never knew that. Why? It is because JJ has by propaganda have had people to believe everything (the noise) he makes.
