On his very first month in office, Kuffuor not knowing how sweet it is to loot the nation, proposed the Accountability Department for the Ministry of Justice and sent the proposal to parliament. He assured the NDC that this department will only work against people from his own government but Ashawo-ba JJ was scared and asked the NDC to reject it. JJ was very upset when Kuffour decided that some of the too many Ewes he had promoted to higher ranks were going to be retired. Kuffuor later found out how much JJ and his bunch of crooks have milked Ghana and therefore decided to do the same. This Ashawo pikin JJ Rawlings thinks he can always fool Ghanaians today by declaring himself poor. He was actually a poor guy crediting Akpeteshie at street corners in Accra before 1979, at least this is what he told us himself. Yet today even his wife alone carries GHC 20,000 in her purse when travelling from Accra to Takoradi. Where did Agyeman Konadu get all this money from? When JJ realized that Kuffuor has found oil in Ghana but the NPP is now defeated, he sent his wife to make a coup d'état against the NDC and laid back to see if it worked. If that coup had succeeded in Sunyani, that would have been the end of NDC and Ghana for he and his wife would have finished all the oil money for the following 4 years.

Now that Ghana knows the truth, the question is, do we need to Honor a lie that abuses the collective sense of a nation. Should Kotoka be honored with a monument?. Another question, who is “Sankara”?. What did he do for Ghana that he as well deserves a circle to be named after him?. Why not after our heroes?. Don´t we have them?. This questions will be left as a chewing stick for our historians and nefarious politicians to chew and tell the nation the taste of it one day.
So what must Ghana do now? Is it not justified to tell Ghanaians the Truth? nothing but the truth?. We cannot wage war against the world’s only superpower America but we shall not stop telling them the truth until they can bear it no more. We will let then understand that they can kill and oppress many nations as possible, but the “Truth will forever prevail” so long as some of them live.
We all know that this coup was a serious lapse in judgment. It is a treason. Unfortunately, this admission has to be made, no matter how uncomfortable it is. Those perpetrators should be brought to book.
We shall prove to those Ghanaians who still want to believe that February 24, 1966 was not a mistake, even after the evidence shows that the core reason was a lie that they have betrayed their motherland. The child has now found out that the tragedy of the period after independence was not the loss of power by Nkrumah and the CPP. The real tragedy was that an initial period of experiment in nation building was truncated prematurely, and thereby the calm for natural growth and development was denied the country.
Today Ghanaians should accept the shame of embracing a coup that was fraudulent. If Ghana looks foolish now, imagine how it will feel like when history remembers that she participated in her own destruction, and 37 years later, still did not know what happened to her!. The man Kotoka who left Ghana naked on the stage is now the hero. General Kotoka is now named after an Airport which his hands and feet never touched.
Fellow countrymen, one more thing is sure; we shall make sure that America renders an apology to Ghanaians one day. Kotoka International Airport and Sankara circle shall be renamed after a leader who deserves it in Ghana. God bless Ghana.

Remember JJ invited him before the elections when it was clear that he was the likely winner and advsed him not to prosecute only NDC members alone of corruption when he becomes the winner. The corrupt elements in both NPP and NDC have teamed together to make sure he is not elected the president for the fear of their prosecution. I implore the followers of both NPP and NDC to give this guy a chance for only 4 years, and we will all see that we live in a different Ghana. Mali at first glance seems a most unlikely place for the NATO powers, led by a neo-colonialist French government of Socialist President Francois Hollande (and quietly backed to the hilt by the Obama Administration), to launch what is being called by some a new Thirty Years’ War Against Terrorism.

Mali, with a population of some 12 million, and a landmass three and a half times the size of Germany, is a land-locked largely Saharan Desert country in the center of western Africa, bordered by Algeria to its north, Mauritania to its west, Senegal, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso and Niger to its southern part. People I know who have spent time there before the recent US-led efforts at destabilization called it one of the most peaceful and beautiful places on earth, the home of Timbuktu. Its people are some ninety percent Muslim of varying persuasions. It has a rural subsistence agriculture and adult illiteracy of nearly 50%. Yet this country is suddenly the center of a new global “war on terror.”

On January 20 Britain’s Prime Minister David Cameron announced his country’s curious resolve to dedicate itself to deal with “the terrorism threat” in Mali and north Africa. Cameron declared, “It will require a response that is about years, even decades, rather than months, and it requires a response that…has an absolutely iron resolve…” [1] Britain in its colonial heyday never had a stake in Mali. Until it won independence in 1960, Mali was a French colony.

On January 11, after more than a year of behind-the-scenes pressure on the neighboring Algeria to get them entangled in an invasion of its neighbor Mali, Hollande decided to make a direct French military intervention with US backing. His government launched air strikes in the rebel-held north of Mali against a fanatical Salafist band of jihadist cutthroats calling itself Al-Qaeda in the Islamic-Mahgreb (AQIM). The pretext for the seemingly swift French action was a military move by a tiny group of Islamic Jihadists of the Tuareg people, Asnar Dine, affiliated with the larger AQIM. On January 10 Asnar Dine – backed by other Islamist groups – attacked the southern town of Konna. That marked the first time since the Tuareg rebellion in early 2012 that Jihadist rebels moved out of traditional Tuareg territory in the northern desert to spread Islamic law to the south of Mali.

As French journalist Thierry Meyssan noted, French forces were remarkably well prepared: “The transitional President, Dioncounda Traore, declared a state of emergency and called to France for help. Paris intervened within hours to prevent the fall of the capital, Bamako. Far-sightedly, the Elysée had already pre-positioned in Mali troops from the 1st Marine Infantry Parachute Regiment (“the Colonials”) and the 13th Parachute Dragoon Regiment, helicopters from the COS (Special Operations Command), three Mirage 2000D’s, two Mirage F-1’s, three C135’s, a C130 Hercules and a C160 Transall.” [2] What a convenient coincidence.

By January 21 US Air Force transport planes began delivering hundreds of French elite soldiers and military equipment to Mali, ostensibly to roll back what we were told was an out-of-control terrorist advance south towards the Mali capital. [3] French Defense Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian told media the number of its ‘boots on the ground’ in Mali had reached 2,000, adding that “around 4,000 troops will be mobilized for this operation,” in Mali and outside bases. [4]

But there are strong indications the French agenda in Mali is anything but humanitarian. In a France 5 TV interview, Le Drian carelessly admitted, “The goal is the total reconquest of Mali. We will not leave any pockets.” And President Francois Hollande said French troops would remain in the region long enough “to defeat terrorism.” The United States, Canada, Britain, Belgium, Germany and Denmark have all said they would support the French operation against Mali. [5]

Mali itself, like much of Africa is rich in raw materials. It has large reserves of gold, uranium and most recently, though western oil companies try to hide it, of oil, lots of oil. The French preferred to ignore Mali’s vast resources, keeping it a poor subsistence agriculture country. Under the deposed democratically-elected President Amadou Toumani Toure, for the first time the government initiated a systematic mapping of the vast wealth under its soil. Again, what about the fact that this same Akufo-Addo returned his cousin's confiscated properties to him upon becoming Minister of Justice and Attorney-General--properties that his cousin had allegedly acquired with drug money-- for which reason the government seized them in the first place? If these were not corruption, what were they?

Now, let's wait for the outcome of the drill ship case and see whether Akufo-Addo's hands were clean or not. So far, from the proceedings of the Judgement Debt Commission, things do not look good for him, considering the fictitiously critical role he seems to have played in the whole saga. He and former President Kufuor have a lot of questions to answer.

Look, if JJ had followed the part of his successor,the entire wealth of this great nation would have been turned over to 'marauding foreigners' and their local partners,under the guise welcoming so-called "strategic partners",whose primary conern was their own company bottom line!
At least JJ did reign in some of 'miscreants' who used their close association to him to enrich themselves. Was there the 'no-holds-barred' (free-for-all,"funkam-fumkam","Nyafu-Nyafu") corruption that has almost brought this country to its knees,hell no! Even our the bastion of our democracy,the courts,could not resist the temptation. In fact,certain malleable persons were purposely drafted into the Judiciary,and put into key positions,to 'smooth' the way,and lend 'legitimacy' to the blatant looting that went on. To the extent that when an individual coveted a national a national asset,his action was interpreted as also being in the national interest or common good. What a warped kind of logic!
Again,who drafted and empowered the handful of semi-literates,masquerading as journalists,who have seized virtual control of tor public airwaves to defend and rationalize acts that NOBODY would have dreamt about prior to the advent of the Y2k years?

Lets give him a chance. I urge Akuffo Addo to appoint a running mate from either Western or Central Regions. Forget about the northern pair, any one coming from Brong Ahafo will qualify as a northern sector by our geographical disposition.
