World renowned recording and performing artist,Shane Dean, Global Marketing and Entertainment, LLC and the Stop The Violence Save Our Future Project present the ‘Thirst for Water: Journey to Ghana’ concert, a charitable musical event to be held on December 14th, 2013 at the Yonkers Public Library Auditorium in Yonkers, New York.

With support from the Ghanaian Embassy in Washington D.C., New York, Ghanaian Consulate—New York, 3G Media and National Council of Ghanaian Associations, the event will feature top musical talent, performing artists and noted celebrities from Ghana, and other destinations throughout the world in order to bring awareness to the need for clean water supply and supporting infrastructure throughout Ghana. “Our efforts encompass more than just constructing another water well in Africa, said Ulric Kelly, Co-founder of Global Marketing and Entertainment, we are seeking local, viable solutions in water filtration to promote self-empowerment for Ghanaians in remote regions. In the same spirit, we looked to collaborate with a self-made multi-talented entertainer to bring awareness to the water crisis in Ghana which led us to our Water Ambassador to Ghana, Mr. Shane Dean.

‘Thirst for Water’, hosted by MC Papa Linc, will begin at 7pm with a red carpet meet and greet. Following the red carpet event, there will be a hip-hop, afrobeat and traditional music concert with a dance performance by the New York Azonto Group and a talented lineup of live performances from international artists BNice, Nana NYC, Sammy Khaki, Cojo Tee, along with gospel performances by Joceyline Baddoo, Linda Ebenezer Assembly choir and the Gospel Ambassadors with a special live performance from Shane Dean himself.

A percentage of the proceeds will support efforts to build boreholes and the development of water filtration systems for remote communities throughout Ghana.
