The GAF is right because of the usage of Military uniforms by some people to rob, intimidate and do other criminal activities. These such activities are then attributed to the military.

Is Osei aware of how criminals dress in military uniforms erect road barriers as if they are tracking some criminals only to rob unsuspecting drivers and their passengers. Let Osei read on what Boko Haram is doing in Nigeria. They dress in military uniforms which is readily available in Nigeria, attack villages who expect them to be military who are there to protect them. If this is what Osei wants for Ghana, he is welcome to the Boko Haram region in Northern Nigeria. Let Ghanaians in diaspora not 'become too Catholic than The Pope'

Sorry you think that way. The laws must be followed because they have not been repealed. What is good for UK may not work well for Ghana and parts of Africa. In the UK and USA, do we see military men/women in their uniforms in public, intimidating people? When Military personnel are not even on duty in Ghana, we see them walking about and intimidating people. How many times do you hear of people in military uniforms intimidating people and robbing them in London? The GAF wants to bring sanity into their fold so that the Military can be held accountable for what people in military uniform does.
In almost all societies, there are acceptable norms as to what one may not be allowed to wear at times. UK is a Democratic country but can someone decide to wear nude near a school zone because it is a democratic state and the state cannot dictate what one wants to wear and where to wear it?
As for Nkrumah's overthrow, the least you say about it the better. It was his One Party State formation, the banning of all political parties, arbitrary arrests and imprisonments, attempts to shove Socialism down the throats of Ghanaians that led his ILLEGAL OVERTHROW. And was it Afrifa who led the overthrow of Nkrumah and the establishment of a military regime in the country. Why not mention Officer Harley and Gen Ankrah?

There is nothing in the constitution that stop you wearing those uniforms, so far as it does not have Ghana Army etc. printed on it. The days of NLCD 177 are over.

You can drive RHS steering wheel vehicle in Europre but in Ghana the steer will be removed and towed at port without temp permit to move it to a garage. If the use of military uniforms including camouflage, equipment and other accoutrements by unauthorized personnel are not check, crimes will skyrocketed. Just image the spate of armed robberies in Ghana and if these people get their hands on these equipment, what will be the end result? Chaos will visit us.

It is suggested that they revert back to their old atire. There was an incident where an immigration staff wearing the camo posed as a soldier and molested a peddler in traffic when as an ex soldier, intervened. Command should know that these mentioned people are all civilians and there is an adage that says "a decorated monkey is still a monkey"

The use military uniforms is a fashion. It is worn everywhere in the world so forget about your insistence to stop people from wearing it. The actual military uniform is quite different from the fashionable ones so think of it and stop the ancient ideas of making what is good look bad. The difference is, some NDC foot-soldiers are using that opportunity to fool around with those uniforms and accouterments. Asiedu Nkatia and Yaw Boateng Gyan must be held accountable for the misuse of military uniforms. Even some of them have sophisticated guns like AK 47 and so on that is not permissible for use by the public and this must cease right away.
