BBA-The Chase Finale: Star studded artist lineup

In wrapping The Chase, a star-studded lineup of Africa’s finest performers is set to rock the Big Brother Finale stage on Sunday 25 August in a two hour extravaganza starting at 19:00 CAT.

Fresh from his European tour, Nigeria’s Ice Prince Zamani makes a comeback following his visit to the Big Brother House a few weeks ago for the ONE Campaign. This multiple award winning sensation has made a mark in the music scene with hits like ‘Oleku’ and ‘Superstar’.

Ghana’s R2BEES (Refuse 2 be Broke), a group of talented young musicians who believe in not only making songs for Ghanaians but rather songs that Africans and the world in general can relate to.

According to the group, “Refuse to be broke’ is an inspirational message that we have conveyed around ever since we came together as a dedicated group. We want to introduce to the world our raw musical talents and culture”. The group released its first single ‘Yawa Gal’ in August 2009, which was an instant hit.

Their debut Album “Da Revolution I” took Africa by surprise, R2BEES released their second album titled Refuse to be Broke (Revolution II) which they featured Tinchy Styder from the UK, Davido from Nigeria and Wiz Kid also from Nigeria.

South Africa’s Dj Ganyani has been in the music industry for over 20 years and his recent hit ‘Xigubu’ is making waves across Africa. A household name among the youth in South Africa and the SADC region - particularly in Lesotho, Swaziland and Botswana, he is the DJ of choice for the South African Football Association. DJ Ganyani has tutored, mentored and inspired a host of local and international DJ’s and his latest album, Ganyani House Grooves 5, achieved gold status within 3 months of its release.

Multi Award-winning Ugandan rap star Keko recently joined the Sony Music stable, alongside international superstars like Alicia Keys, P!nk, Usher, Christina Aguilera, Pitbull and Chris Brown. Her rise to fame began in 2010 with the release of “Fallen Heroes”, where she appeared alongside other established Ugandan artists like Don MC, SP, DAVIS and the Mwanba Children’s Choir. Keko began to turn heads with her lyrics, delivery style and sheer presence. Her 2012 chart-topping club hit entitled “Make You Dance” featuring Kenya’s Madtraxx, became a smash hit on radio stations across Africa, with the video on high rotation across leading music television channels.
