RE: NDC China Chapter 2013 July Congress

It is good news that the NDC China has finally decided to hold its congress in July, 2013. This is a welcoming development, we have been calling for this for some years now and we are delighted that, the call has been listened to, therefore necessitating the holding of this congress. The organization of this congress has been long overdue. But it is better late than never.

I would like to use this medium to call on all party members, supporters and sympathizers to make their way to the congress grounds in Guangzhou in China. Attending this congress would offer members the opportunity to put this Chapter into a better shape and formidable one to the likes of the USA, Canada and Germany chapters etc. Deciding the faith of NDC China is very vital to sustaining the fraternity.

I want to urge members not to leave the Chapter in the hands of just a few who may exploit the chapter to their advantage. I hold a strong conviction that NDC China can play a pivotal role in strengthening the development agenda between the NDC government and Chinese government.
One of the issues that will come up during the congress is the election of new executives to steer the affairs of the Chapter for the next four years. This is dear to my heart and I would want members to choose leaders who can perform as per the position entrusted to them. We need leadership that can withstand to the test of time. A leader that will not be afraid to speak on national matters and topical issues in Ghana, a leadership that can issue statements on pertinent national policy challenges confronting our dear nation. It is my considered view that, NDC China can do more than what it is doing currently, so we do not need leaders that would come to keep to the status co. It is my hope that the holding of this congress would mark a new start for NDC China Chapter.
Let me use this chance to congratulate the current interim executives of NDC China Chapter for taking the giant step in putting this congress together.
To all members, sympathizers and supporters who would be attending the July Congress, I wish you God’s traveling mercy from your various destinations to the congress grounds.
