Unfortunately these stats figures are in the language the common or average voter in the country does not understand. If it made sense to them, they would treasure their votes very well and not cast it away over some few cedi’s of bribery in their pockets. They are however the majority of voters who understand only one language, “my vote is for sale to the highest bidder”.

University education in Ghana do not produce development-oriented products.
DrG, this is the import of USMAN's post. It is to point out the failures of our educational system to meet the needs of of our growing society. Tertairy education, world-wide, serve as the nursary of development-oriented ideas. Read the stories of many icons of modern computer, and it would surprise you of where many of the programs which have made our lives so easy by the use of computers wwere conceived - Tertiary levels of education, of which Universities are at the heights. Those types of tertiary education are what we need in Ghana.
Perhaps you are young, but learn not to criticise for criticism sake and more importantly, DO NOT INSULT ON A PUBLIC FORUM like Ghanaweb. Those who do so do not get their postings read by many decent people.

Without good primary and secondary levels of education present the tertiary level will be dysfunctional. Throughout the course of history technology has been shaped more by those without tertiary educations than those with it. An idiot that spends their life obtaining high educational accreditation in the end is still an idiot in the end if they do not apply it. Lastly, any person that is "insulted" , by words, is of no use to the rest of us.

In spite of the slowly regression to 80s and 90s of Ghana under the NDC there are some Ghanaians who still cannot see anything wrong with NDC.
Look at the figures released by the TUC a traditional non NPP organisation; it speaks of 7%food growth in 2009 and 2% food growth in 2012.
Still those tribal blinded NDC supporters cannot see which makes one wonder: do they support NDC even if it means Ghana's doom? Then what does that make them? Human beings or just some being with less human ability to see reality?

This is what we call leading without knowldge. Is this what we say Ghana is caperble od managing its own affairs?
Bad policies and govrnace. its abot time we face a freash election. as the supreme court is almost done with its job. this election case is trying to be a better way of what is going on in Egypt today.
It was on the 6th day of March 1957 that our gifted leaders, who emancipated us from colonial rule said" ghana a new born country is caperble of minding its own affairs." My question here is, have we been able to do so?, for the past half a hundread years?
what is holding us up? This is not the problems of the powers out side our nation, but the problem from with in For the Ghanian is selfish, corupt and evil. we have all the natural resources and natural gift, but its managment has been evil to us as we keep electing people without self esteam to govvern us. Again as people with low caperbilities (the Military) keeps on interfering in our day to day couutry management.
I believe now is the time for Ghana to reason and move ahead just like THe Korans, North and south, Malasha and idian.
Let those who has political knowledge and know how steer the wheels of this little nation.
God loves us and keep opening avenues to us. He has recently given us Oil, let us use it wisely. and move ahead like other nations.Let us stop debating about Gayism in our house and focus on important matters and issues. let us think about scientific progerss and innovations, and stop thinking about what happends behind in our bed rooms. Let us stop doing the one plus one and stop thinking of getting a diffrent result for the answer is always going to be Two. there is no way we can do the same calculations and expect a diffrent result.
May God bless mother Ghana.

I believe the government is bereft of ideas. I strongly believe NDC is not a suitable party to rule Ghana. As long as this party rules the country we won't see any significant change in the economy. With the stagnant state of affairs, how was it different from Rawlings' rule? The party is enmeshed in propaganda like the Nazis. Crude tactics are used to suppress voices of dissent so that the nation will continue to sink under the yoke of populism! It's time for us to open our eyes and face the reality: NDC has nothing to offer except poverty and contempt for civility.
