Who does not know where the fire is coming from? We all know except those who refuse to know. Intelligence is not some weired, mystical and superstitious excercise. It is the study of trends, issues and arriving at convincing conclusion.
When a certain people wanted to potray the first president of Ghana Dr; Kwame Nkrumah as a villain, they went on an atrocious killing spree. They killed, men wome children and caused some to disappear. Then they went ahead and hightened the Kankanyame spirit for which the first president had to perform rituals. They succeeded in whipping sentiments of danger and risk for Ghanaians if the man Krumah remains in power. Then they went ahead with the connivance of the CIA removed him through a coup d'Etat.
They, through the help of their henchmen like Afira suceeded in rigging the elections for Busia to win. Acheampong also sponsored by Nkrumah's elemnts suceeded in removing them on 13th January 1972. Then to meke Rawlings' NDC's second term unpopular as they did to Nkrumah, they went ahead and started killing Ghanaian women to cause panick and insecurity in the Ghanaian society. Women responded by going on demonstration to call for their protection. They Killed 8 Ghanaian women and the late Eyadema helped them with the rest of the dead bodies from togolese mortuaries. Then they deceived the nation that poor Quansah was the author of all the feminine murders. They claimed police from Scotland Yard prove that. Well, it took the Scotland Yard to come out with the denial that they were never involved in the so called investigation. Then, they lost the elctions and then fire started gutting every public building. What are we waiting for to accuse them or charge them? I am suprised that Mr.Nanfuri also failed to disclose what he claimed he investigated and came so close to a conclusion was never known to the public! Was it the reason for interogating him in camera while the former Head of State was rather interrogated in public?
It is time we come to the relisation that The UP tradition and its subsequent surrogates like NPP want power just for themselves and not to serve the nation. Because these are people who hardly serve the nation as public or civil servants. Some serve the nation for the first time in their life as members of parliament. I wish we had a law which stipulates among other things that one cannot become an MP or President without ever serving as a public servant for a minimum period of 5 years.

If the national security want to make arrest they will, for they certainly know those rightly responsible for the markets fire by the despicable utterances of both the Accra Mayor and the very man voted as MP of the area the two markets got burn down, the two ethnocentric Vandrpuyes whose secret diabolical plan is to rid Accra central of the Akan speaking people dominantly the traders occupying the two markets and perceived to be sympathizers of the strong NPP opposition party.
Some of the leads go as far as immediately after the 2012 elections when some unscrupulous Vanderpuye NDC supporters went on tyrant rampaging with deadly weapons and violently attacked these peaceful traders some who have traded at the market peacefully over 20 years. Why they were not arrested is for the national security operatives to answer.
It is outrageously nonsense for people to point accusive fingers at innocent NPP followers. The unscrupulous arsonists are rihtly within the ruling party and are occupying higher positions, the two notorious Vanderpuyes!!!

This is a good article. We have to sit down as a nation and use our brains to find the problem and come out with solutions. I keep asking myself, why markets and not airport residential area, Nima or elsewhere ? We all know what happens in the markets day and night. We know the lawlessness there. We know the inferior electrical wires and connections. Do not forget dumsor dumsor.
Now if NPP is causing fire, then NDC is also causing flooding to put out the fire.
What went wrong with the educational system and common sense? Why do other countries investigate issues and come out with durable solutions? God will not prevent fires when you yourself cause it deliberately or ignorantly.
Or we are soooo hungry or greedy that we cannot reason!!!!!
God help Ghana.

To Paa Kow,
“From a spiritual perspective, maybe this could be a challenge for Prophets T.B. Joshua, Owusu Bempah,…to give us the spiritual interpretation of what is happening.”
Guess you must be kidding?
If not, come down, they can do nothing. The problem we have has everything to do with our millennium-aged mentality. It had nothing to do with God so please leave Him out of this.
Like everybody, I also believe the sequence of those fire outbreaks show someone/some people might have been behind them in an effort to destabilize the system and Mahama’s government. Fires don’t just start the way these have been happening in Ghana. With “great luck” more would be starting without anyone being able to indict those behind unless ‘watch people’ are posted in markets. But that would not help if a group is behind these fires as they would shift to burning other public places.
I would not point my fingers at NPP, but they said they would make the country “very” ungovernable. One of the ways to enforce this idea is setting fires to markets and creating situations conducive to strife.
So far NPP has been successful in making bad situations worse in Ghana.
You are however right in saying “… while a lot of countries all over the world are now reworking on their safety …. If our fire fighters have adequate basic safety technologies, it would enable them to fight fire in record time.”
Our governments have been so corrupt they have all but eaten the hand that fed them.
The country can’t build markets; our quasi-interminable list of priorities and the money to satisfy it are at a tangent to each other. Meanwhile, I can confirm that if the country is better managed there could be more than enough resources generated in the country without recourse to foreign assistance to have these problems solved; ask ECG, VRA, CEPS, IRS, Immigration, toll posts, the harbors etc., and you will find out what they steal from Ghanaian could build a more structured country several times over.

Corruption is killing. It will take a gooe leader to deal with the problems we face. Prrsident Mahama does not have what it takes. He will always depend on foreigners even if someones mobile phone is stolen.
