Mahama will be stripped of presidency, says PPP

A member of the Progressive People's Party (PPP), Charles Owusu, says the title of President which John Dramani Mahama currently holds will be stripped in due time by the Supreme Court.

Mr Owusu made this known at a (Let My Vote Count Alliance(LMVCA) rally held at Dansoman Control Point, in the Ablekuma West constituency.

According to Mr Owusu, the results declared by the Electoral Commission (EC) in the 2012 general elections was not a true reflection of the sovereign will of the Ghanaian people and also not a true reflection of the actual votes obtained by the PPP presidential candidate, Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom.

He cited a polling station in the Dome Kwabenya constituency where Dr Nduom obtained 73 votes, but on the pink sheet was given 10. Similarly, he pointed out numerous constituencies where PPP votes had been reduced to facilitate a one-touch victory for President Mahama.

Mr Owusu assured every well-meaning Ghanaian that the evidence which will be presented to the Supreme Court is so strong that the court will have no option but to strip John Mahama off the title, President.

He likened President Mahama's victory to an athlete who won a medal but was later found to have used steroids to ensure victory. Once found out, Mr Owusu stated that, the athlete will be stripped off his medal and stated on authority that a similar fate will befall John Mahama.
