  GSS must continue to produce reliable economic statistics to facilitate effective planning and monitoring of the economy.
  
  Statistics on labour are essential to the planning process. All efforts should be made to produce labour statistics on a regular basis, monthly or quarterly. This gap in statistics must be addrewssed urgently.
