The New Patriotic Party after boycotting President John Mahama’s State of the Nation Address is preparing to present what it calls the “true state of the nation address.”
Even though minority members of the party did not monitor the president’s address in the Chamber, it is obvious they did elsewhere because they are not satisfied with what they heard.
They say the president’s address fell short of expectations.
Member of Parliament for the Asuogyaman constituency, Kofi Osei Ameyaw told Joy News’ Evans Mensah that for the president to say that his “Better Ghana Agenda is giving him sleepless nights” can only be worrying to Ghanaians.
The president was commenting on the ongoing load shedding exercise across the country.
Osei Ameyaw said many Ghanaians are dying in hospitals because of the erratic power supplies which make surgeries in hospitals a difficult undertaking.
He said apart from the government failing to provide majority of its citizens with water, the few who have access to water are not safe because the water is also alleged to have been treated with expired chemicals.
Osei Ameyaw said on Tuesday or Wednesday, the NPP will give an account of the true state of the nation and will encapsulate the suffering of Ghanaians and provide solutions.
