We are governed by professional thieves and gangsters, so don't expect any progress under this govt.
Why should a notorious gangster of the pedigree of Sipa Yankey who has been involved in so many corruption scandals be made to head such a national project ?
The cost of the project itself was inflated to the tune of over $150 million to start with, and every protest and calls for investigation by analysts and discerning Ghanaians fell on the deaf ears of the Mills/Mahama gangster-regime.
And now we are hearing that GHc20 million cannot be accounted for again ?
God save Ghana from the grips of these stealers !

The man Mahama is a crook himself unless one doesn't want to be honest with oneself. What do you expect when a convicted criminal,in the person of Dr.Sipa Yankey, is put in charge of such huge project as Ghana Gas? Of course we all want the company to succeed, but the prognosis is not good when the guys at the helm of affairs are all known money grabbing crooks.Only in Ghana would a character like Sipa Yankey be put in charge of such an outfit. God saves Ghana.

Is PIAC a government agency as alleged in this article? If PIAC was really and truly a government department, why is this particular organisation dependant on international NGOs for funding? Every single government department's budget is funded by the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning. It is therefore not true that an agency established by the state would rely on international NGOs to finance their operations. I suspect this write-up was another attempt to undermine Dr Sipa Yankey. It won't wash.

Under the unscrupulously "woyomenized" NDC gangsters crime is now an official institution in Ghana where the people have become criminal worshipers.
The government in a scheme has ganged up with local and international corporate criminals to milk out mother Ghana.
Unfortunately they have succeeded to tribally divide once our strong and united country on tribal political lines and have some buffoonery voting not on substansive social economic and developments issues that affect their daily lives and children's future but simply because the political criminal is a kinsman.
Every part of the country is hugely suffering from some sort of crimes with the criminals arrogantly walking on the sate's red carpet.

the expectations looming all over the nation is that the hullaballoo for this "heavenly gift" gas processing project comes to be realized this year . the enormous benefits to yield ghanaians is job creations for every village, town, urban, municipality and metro.am inside ukraine, russia, belarus and azerbajan ... and witnessing amazing benefits of oil producing nations that capitalize gas.
mine fears mine fears hangs on pen robbers to manage this lasting project if accountabilty before the public is left out ..that will be crucifixion . Ghanaians have suffered for so long and this "GOD GIVING GIFT" should not be left to drain in the hands of robbers, politicians, incompetent staff and management ....or else the end will be disasterous as witness in Nigeria. Let all Ghanaians support the Mahama government to bolster developments to generate jobs for all ,growth for economy and better standard of living for us and future generations ...and stop gimmicks.

The cabal of Sipa Yankey, Kwesi Botwey, the newly nominated Minister of Energy, Buah, who used to be a mail man in Maryland and a man of God in Houston by the name of Wilmot are the ones who have padded and pillaged this project. They selected against the advice of their consultant a gas plant which cost 30% more but has a 25% less performance/extraction rate than a competing plant also made in Canada because they received kickbacks from the company they selected. They disregarded the results of a competitive bid process to select their own pipe supplier who supplied non coated defective pipe which would rust in 5 years. These guys have gotten away with a perfect crime because no one is watching. Sipa claimed he only reported to Mills and could not be questioned about anything. Now that Prof is gone, I hope John Mahama can start asking hard and probing questions about how companies were selected for this project and the dispensation of the funds.
