The first reason i want this take over to come on is that the politicians will not have a bank to use for their weaked deeds. If Merchant goes, they the politicians will be left with GCB and NIB. Their options will be limited. The interferance of politicians has cost us dearly interms of Ghana Airways and many more. With the Ibrahim loan, i hear by the terms of the deal, SSNIT is to collect all outstanding loans for three years. It remains to be seen whether SSNIT board, being appointed by the President can enforce the loan collection from Ibrahim his brother.Again what happens to the uncollected loans after three years is what i have been thinking of. Ghanaians must learn to rise up for what is ours. Ibrahim, i hear owes 57million Ghana Cedis. Bank capitalisation is 60million. Our SSNIT contributions should not be wasted. Walahi, there should be no bad debts in these issue of Merchant Bank. We should be fed up by now with political interferance in Public institutions. Why is it that in Europe etc, the 10 percent of the population who are politicians try to do things to improve the lot of the people but here the 10 percent who are politicians are messing us up? I have more to write but will end here for now. MAy God bless Ghana.

This is my bank. I wish them well. We will be watching from the sideline for innovative banking policies that will benefit the existing customers...or else, we will move to other banks. There should be soft loans etc to entice the existing customers of the bank who have remained despite the juicy enticement of other banks to leave and join them. We are watching.

So it has finally happened. When this story first broke, there was a lot of denials in the press including Kweku Baako who said he was sure the deal will not come on. Mr. Rawlings also praised Prez Mahama to high heavens for abrogating the deal. Now what? What happens to Ibrahim Mahama's (Presidential brother)loan? Oh Ghana or should I say ndc. Hard times ahead for Ghanaians.

Oh Ghana! We are governed by those (both politicians and the elites) who do not care a hoot about the country apart from lining their silky pockets.
