In politics, perception of the public is what matters and not what you think you are. I believe Ashantis should take the back seat positions in the party now to rebut the saying that Ashantis think they are the only people fit to rule Ghana. These kinds of news is meant to destroy the NPP; it's NDC's calculated scheme to cause confusion within our party. Folks will recall that the NDC soon after the elections, recommeded Mr. Alan Kyeremateng for the WTO's top position even when it seemed obvious that Alan was surprised about the whole thing. They're making all efforts to sow seeds of discord with the NPP party. And it's time for the party to challenge the NDC and bring them to shame.

If Nana Addo says he's retired in politics that will be his decision; the NDC cannot force anyone into making choices. Wasn't the same NDC push late Atta-Mills 3X for the presidency until he succeeded? It's sometimes painful for our party leaders and some supporters to stand unconcerned while the NDC uses all sorts of dubious tactics to destroy us.

It is time to fight the NDC boot for boot, tooth and nail and defeat them. They are afraid fo their own shadows; the gargantuan corruption, that has been recorded during their reign is haunting them. That's one of the reasons why they sought to rig the elections with the aid of the EC's boss Afari-Gyan.

Our party leaders must quickly find a remedy to this NDC's wicked plot to cause chaos in our party. While the elections fraud case is being heard at the Supreme Court, the NDC would attempt to divert public attention to proceedings by posting such bogus stories to cause divisions. It's time to stay together, alert and strong.

Point of correction, NDC did not recommend Alan for WTO, it was the Govt of Ghana headed by Prez Mahama. Just as Prez Kuffuor did for Ibn Chambas when he was contesting for ECOWAS top job, so did Mahama. It is a pure issue of nationalism. When a Ghanaian is qualified for an international position and needs the support and endorsement of his govt, he/she must get it irrespective of political affiliation. The govt further goes to woo the support of ally nations in that regard. That was how Kofi Annan also got the nod for the UN Sec-Gen post. This is not politics but international relations.
