In opposition they allowed the Kufuor regime to loot the Ghana government for eight good years. From cash (Kwadwo Mpiani), bungalow (Jake obetsebi-Lamptey), cooking pot (Sekyi-Hughes) etc….. In the case of NPP, they oppose everything good or bad, from, Chinese loan, judgment debts and even the inauguration of President Mahatma. This enabled the NDC to always be on their toes for whatever they do. From this observation, we all conclude that the NPP are better in opposition than NDC. I always compare the U.S election to that of GH's. People were going door to door for campaign, especially the White people I know in my neighborhood.
If he is a real N.P.P support, he should volunteer to go to Volta Region or some parts of Greater Accra region next election '16 to be party Prep for the N.P.P. so they don't cheat again. They can only talk on Radio.

Why can't we just take it cool and watch, after all it's governance. It's about the people of Ghana not Mahama, not Kuffour nor Akuffo Addoh.
Let us be wise, and push the mantel of Ghana forward since we are behind development. Are they aware that President Kuffour is currently a Statesman who is being taking care of with public funds? Much as he is an NPP member, he is an asset of the whole Nation. And furthermore, the Party's hierachy has approved that he attends the function in his capacity as a former Head of State and not as an NPP member.

If they care to know, the President in his capacity as founding member of the NPP endorses the party's position not to attend the function, and the party also endorses his position to attend as a former President; and this decision was arrived at by the National Executive Committee of the party.

If Kofi Dubai is properly educated and has been reading and following issues well, he and his group wouldn't have thought of that uncultured plans. These are the elements in our party who make so much noise and destroy the party without contributing anything to building the party, and create disaffection for the party.

They are the reason why we lost the elections and must learn from our painful defeat.

thank you frederick, you have made a very good comment about ex president koffour.he destroyed NPP party right from the time he sworn in as a president for these reasons;1 for failing to call for referendum to remove the indeminity clause from the constitution so that ghanaian could decide the fate of rawlings for his coup and the murder and the other serious crimes he committed during his 19yrs ruling.2 he was part of PNDC and was scared and still loyal to rawlings, because of that he failed to make any serious changes that could weaken NDC and strengthen NPP so that the people would have trust him and see NPP as a better party compared with NDC.he systematically played everything into NDC"s cot and consequently called for reconciliation without asking for all ghanaians to decide whether rawlings needs to be trialed or not by using peace as an excuse.koffuor 8yrs rule was however,far better than 19yrs of rawlings regime,koffour could have done more in bringing justices and reducing corruption and lead by example but he chose to leave things as rawlings left them so that he also could enrich himself just as rawlings did without thinking much about ghana and his party NPP.

The President will not sit home and watch the inauguration on television. The former President is a stateman and deserve his godly and human rights to show-up by respecting the People of Ghana. You should remind ourselves that if you are leaving in a glass house, do not throw stone. Anything that you do to NDC today will be done to you in the future when you come to power. I therefore ask Ex-President Kuffour to show up at the Inauguration for the love of Ghana. Ghanaians will not forgive him if he fails to show up.

If he insists on attending, then NPP supporters must barricade his home to prevent him leaving. I suspect, however, that he'll leave his house long before the ceremony is due to start, in order to avoid having to go thru such a barricade.

If the Party members would contemplate attacking one of their own so viciously, what does it say about the Party? And it is not just anyone but rather a former President and an ardent leader of the Party.

Come on, fellas!! Political violence in any form is most detested among the Civil Society around the World. We should not continue the barbaric, savage brutalities of the 60's and 70's. If such were justified at all in the past, hardly can they be in this day and age where access to the Courts and other alternative ways to resolve our differences exist.
