RLG Supports Election 2012

The Information and Communications Technology (ICT) equipment assembler, rlg Communications, has donated a quantity of products to assist the coverage and monitoring of the December general election.

The items are rlg mobile phones and energy tubes which were presented to political parties contesting the Presidential elections, the Ghana Journalists Association for onward distribution to media houses, and the National Elections Security Task Force.

The items are worth more than GHc50,000.

Speaking a brief ceremony in Accra, Mr Prosper Addo, Head of Legal and Corporate Affairs of rlg Communications, said the items were meant to augment the resource needs of the three key stakeholders in the voting exercise.

Mr Ransford Tetteh President of the Ghana Journalists Association expressed gratitude to rlg Communications for the gesture and promised to put them to good use.

Mr Tennyson Aidoo, Assistant Commissioner of Police said the Task Force was ready to ensure incident-free polls.

Representatives of the New Patriotic Party, National Democratic Congress, Progressive People's Party and Conventions People’s Party equally expressed gratitude to rlg for the support.
