President Mahama nominates 2 judges for Supreme Court

The MP for Talensi, John Tia Akologo is lauding the President for nominating two justices to the Supreme Court.

The nomination of Justices A. A. Berneh and J.B. Ackama was on Thursday presented to members of parliament.

In the letter addressed to the house, the President John Mahama indicated that his nomination of the two justices is in accordance to article 144 (2) of the 1992 constitution.

John Tia Akologo told XYZ News the introduction of the two justices would go a long way to improve the judicial system.

The acting Speaker of parliament, Doe Adjaho has however referred the nomination of the justices to the appointment committee of parliament.
