.... As Ghana Becomes Investors Destination
There has been an increase in demand for Ghanaian visas in South Africa.This was made known to the media by the acting high commissioner to South Africa Hon Parker Allotey at the Ghana high commission in pretoria, South Africa.
According to Hon. Allotey ,the consular section in the embassy receives almost over a hundred applications for visas alone in South Africa ,which indicated that, Ghana has an edge over doing business than most west African countries. Hon Allotey confirmed that the number of investors in South Africa, throng the High Commission daily in search of business information and visas to go to Ghana, are on the increase and the number keeps growing by the day’
Ghana “is fast becoming an investment destination of choice in Africa.Ghana, on the other hand, seems to have strongly entrenched policies that enhance industrial growth, while good governance and prudent economic management have made the country the gateway to Africa. Apart from fast becoming an economic hub of the sub-region, Ghana also offers some of the best travel experience in Africa.
In fact, some south Africans who cannot afford to spend their vacation in Europe or the US have found Ghana a suitable alternative. This brings good money to the Ghanaian economy. Earlier this year South Africa deputy president visited Ghana in search of oil import from Ghana and also President Barack Obama’s visit to Ghana during his maiden trip to the continent this year also speaks volumes for the high regard that the international community has for the West African country.
In another development, government has appointed a consular general to Swaziland to help in consular services in that country on behalf of Ghana, whilst approval is still needed from the Swaziland government for the consular to start work in that country.stay tunned.
