Taste of Ghana Festival To Be Held in Charlottesville

As part of activities marking the annual African-American Arts and Culture Festival in Charlottesville, Virginia, USA, a Taste of Ghana Festival is going to be held on July 28, 2011 at the Burley Middle School, Charlottesville.

The festival which is being organized by the African-American Arts and Culture Festival Committee will showcase different kinds of Ghanaian food and beverages. According to Nana Akyeampong Ghartey, a member of the Committee, the Taste of Ghana Festival is a platform where people are given the opportunity to taste Ghanaian and other African foods for them to appreciate the rich and nutritious cuisine from the African kitchen.

The African-American Arts and Culture Festival begins on July 28 and ends on July 30 with a grand durbar at the Washington Park, Charlottesville where various African and African American culture would be displayed.

The Committee is therefore inviting all Africans in Virginia and other States in the USA to attend and be part of the festival.
