I Never Accused Bagbin Of Plotting To Kill Me – Hanna Bissiw

Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Works and Housing, Dr. Louisa Hannah Bissiw has rubbished reports claiming she accused her boss, Hon. Alban Kinsford Sumana Bagbin of hiring thugs to kill.

Admittedly, she said, there have been numerous death threats on her life via phone, but she never at any point in time indicted the sector Minister as being the mastermind of those threats.

The Deputy Water Resources, Works and Housing Minister on Tuesday told Citi News that some alleged supporters of her boss, Hon Alban Bagbin have threatened to kill her. She claimed the threatening anonymous calls on her mobile phone were from persons who have vowed to do her in if Hon. Bagbin is fired by President Mills.

According to her, the faceless so-called Bagbin boys resorted to these “cowardly” threats on her life because they are apprehensive that President Atta Mills could crack the whip by dropping him as a minister.

But speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii sen programme, Dr. Bissiw lashed out at the Daily Guide newspaper for publishing what she deem to be falsified stories about strained relations between herself and the Nadowli West MP.

She also disputed suggestions that perhaps the relationship between her and Mr. Bagbin was frosty hence the negative focus on the Ministry by the media, and rather accused the Daily Guide newspaper of putting her under the spotlight for mischief purposes.

“…we have a very good working relationship...those threatening me could be from anywhere hence one cannot and should not conclude that the calls are emanating from Bagbin’s boys,” she added.
