Journal on management development launched

Accra, Oct.18, GNA - The Ghana Management Association, a non-profit organisation, on Friday launched the Journal of Business and Estate Management Research (JBEMR), to attract and publish theoretical manuscripts from academics and professionals. Dr. Gad Akwensivie, Editor in Chief of JBEMR, said the journal was founded as a result of the dying need for a platform to disseminate knowledge, provide up to date information in the area of business and to fill the vacuum that has been created by the absence of such research based journals in the country.

He said the Journal was an authoritative source of research information for scholars, academicians and professionals in the field of general business, estate development and management. Dr. Akwensivie explains that "The journal is peer reviewed and aims to facilitate communication between research expects and business executives and is not tied to any particular discipline, level of analysis or national context".

He said the journal that would be published twice a year, would help expand the study of management by publishing innovative articles based on critical or radical perspectives, using a variety of methodological approaches and showing the implications of research for managerial practice. The first 5 copies of the journal were auctioned for 250 Ghana Cedis each.
