Ferdinand Ayim rest in peace - PNC

Accra, April 7, GNA - The People's National Convention (PNC) on Friday expressed shock at the death of Mr Ferdinand Ayim, Special Assistant to the Minister of Tourism and Modernization of the Capital City, through a motor accident on the Accra-Kumasi highway near Osino on Friday morning.

A statement in Accra signed Mr Bernard Mornah, Youth Organiser of PNC, said Mr Ayim, who was the Chairman of the National Planning Committee on Solar Eclipse, was playing a key role in nation building and devoted his youth to working for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and by extension to mother Ghana.

His fine attributes had earned him the recognition of the NPP to serve his nation at the Tourism Ministry.

"The nation has once again lost the services and ingenuity of an illustrious son through the recklessness of road accidents," the statement said, and called on the Government and Motor Traffic and Transport Unit (MTTU) of the Police Service to investigate the causes of the recent high spate of accidents on the roads and offer the appropriate remedial actions to avert the devastation to families and others affected.

"To the family, NPP as a party, friends and admirers of Ayim, we take the opportunity to appeal to you to put yourself together and so we pray for the departed soul with the hope that his exemplary works would be copied by succeeding generations", it said.
