The local government Service Workers have threatened to sue Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG), should it continue deducting dues from its salaries as part of GLOGSAG fund.

The Ashanti regional Chairman of the Local Government Service Workers Union, Mr. Harold Opoku Amankwah, told a Press conference in Kumasi that its members working under the MMDA’s were being deducted three different unauthorized dues on monthly basis from their salaries , whereas members no longer belong to the CLOGSAG.

He claimed the union, has complained copiously to the local government ministry, employment and labour relations ministry, controller and accountant general and other appropriate authority but to no avail.

The union has thus cautioned CLOSAG executives to stop further deduction, and refund all monies deducted from its members salaries since July 2014 up to date, else will be forced to drag the local government body to court.
