Watch trailer of Amma Asante’s ‘A United Kingdom’

Producers of A United Kingdom, directed by Ghanaian-British Writer/Director Amma Asante have released the trailer of the movie.

‘A United Kingdom’ is based on the true story of Botswana’s first president, Seretse Khama, who fell in love with a London office worker, Ruth Williams, who became the First Lady of Botswana.

The star studded cast of the movie includes David Oyelowo, Rosamund Pike, Tom Felton, Jack Davenport, Abena Ayivor, Vusi Kunene and Terry Pheto.

Scheduled for release in 2016, it is a follow up to the critically acclaimed Belle.

The movie will be distributed by Pathe in the UK and France.

The movie will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival next month, and also at the 60th BFI London Film Festival in October.
