The NDC are Disappointed in Rawlings

- Special Delegates Conference.

The NDC organised a Special Delegates Conference (NDC Congress) in Kumasi on Thursday, 30th August 2012. Their agenda was to elect their flag bearer for the impending December 7, 2012 presidential and parliamentary elections. In fact, the NDC arranged the Congress only for them to endorse the candidature of the unelected President Mahama as their flag bearer. He was the only candidate competing with himself for the flag bearer's position. What a farcical waste of resources, energy and precious time.

Whom did the NDC think they were fooling with their gargantuan Congress that served no purpose? Had their National Executive Council (NEC) not met and confirmed the just sworn-in President John Dramani Mahama as their flag bearer a day or two into his assumption of the office of the presidency? Their earlier decision to give him the nod to become their flag bearer negated the essence of any later assembly to choose a flag bearer for the party.

Anyway, most of the NDC members were happy when Rawlings finally did attend the Congress. They thought his presence was going to be the icing on the cake. He had come to invigorate them. His attendance was more than enough to garner more winning votes for the NDC, and the settlement of the internal factional squabbles within the NDC, many an NDC member surmised.

However, former President Rawlings cleverly exposed the NDC as the most rotten party in Ghana not worthy of any sensible person's vote. He made it known to the NDC congregants that the President, the NDC government, and the NDC party lack integrity. He called for the restoration of integrity at the presidency, within the government and within the party until which the NDC stand no chance of winning elections December 7, 2012.

He also accused the party of having babies with sharp teeth (Vampire Dracula fangs) that bite hard into people. He further made a nice sarcastic analogy directed at the ungrateful people like Mr. Ugly Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, the NDC General Secretary. He said if a wooden bridge has some of its planks dangerously rotten, do you remove them immediately, or you wait until you find a replacement, by which time some people may have fallen through the broken planks and died.

Former President Rawlings does not suffer fools kindly. He told them the truth. With all the numerous overflowing fountains of corruption within the homes and offices of the NDC people, especially the President, NDC government Ministers and party functionaries e.g. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, how do they stand the chance of winning the upcoming elections?

Can President Mahama carry out the required reforms to restore integrity to the NDC before the December 7, elections? With the NDC "can't-do attitude", I am not sure he will be able to, without which Rawlings may not campaign for him.

In my estimation, some of those babies spotting vampire teeth in the NDC government are Okudzeto Ablakwah, Koku Ayindohu, Fiifi Kwetey, Quarshiga, Yaw Boateng Gyan and of course, the rented journalist who calls himself a social commentator or critic (Kwesi Pratt).

I call on all reasonable Ghanaians, those who care about themselves and the collective interest of Ghana to vote OUT the NDC on December 7, 2012. They have stolen, they are still stealing, and they will continue to steal Ghana money through judgment debt payments. You just think about this, how can those in government side with crooks, defend crooks who are twisting Ghana's arms to steal from her? Instead of defending Ghana, they rather encourage outside companies and certain dodgy individuals (e.g. Alfred Agbesi Woyome) to swindle Ghana. Brood over this and make an informed decision, Dear Readers.

VOTE WISELY. VOTE NPP. VOTE NANA "OBUGGIE" ADDO DANKWAH AKUFFO-ADDO.
