National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammy Awuku has given the Police 48 hours to arrest and bring the “dogs who attacked the Party’s Flagbearer, Nana Akufo Addo’s residence.

There was chaos at the Nima home of the three-time Presidential candidate of opposition NPP, Nana Akufo Addo Sunday morning after an NDC group clashed with security personnel guarding the former Attorney General’s home.

The NDC supporters who were on a Regional health walk which President Mahama was expected to be part of, upon reaching the residence of Nana Akufo, unprovoked, started throwing stones and bottles at the house.

The action by the NDC group was met with fierce resistance as security guards of Nana Akufo Addo sensing dander responded with warning shots, dispersing the NDC supporters in the process.

Some NPP supporters who heard of the incident also rushed to Nana Akufo Addo’s residence to offer backup for the security detail who reports said were being overpowered by the milling crowd.

The Nima police intervened to restore law and order.

But addressing thousands of NPP supporters and sympathizers who had gathered at the Moree D/A for the Ghana Youth rally on Sunday stated that the party will be forced to do the work of the police if they fail to do what is expected of them.

“We are giving the Police 48 hours to bring those dogs to book. We want the Mahama-led government to know that we won’t sit down idle for our hands to be tied at our back. The police has a duty to arrest the perpetrators or we will go and arrest them and hand them over to the police”, he noted
