'Nana Addo will be innovative in addressing Ghana's needs'

The National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Paul Awentami Afoko, has urged Ghanaians to vote massively for the elephant family in the 2016 general elections to enable Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo to address the challenges confronting the citizenry.

“The NPP government from 2017 will be innovative in addressing the needs of Ghanaians,” Mr. Afoko said.

He made the call on Tuesday during the Media Launch of an innovative platform that enables members to register at any location around the world.

The National Chairman was optimistic of the new website and urged all members to explore the infrastructure that addresses the needs of a modern political party.

On his part, the General Secretary of the party, Kwabena Agyei Agyepong demonstrated how the portal,www.nppcentre.org, has multi-task approach to help the party in its fundraising efforts, gathering of data and an information hub that will feed party officers and its sympathizers across the globe on the happenings in the party, especially activities in the 2016 campaign.

The member of the Finance Committee of the Party, Mr. Raphael Felli who spoke on behalf of Dr. K.K Sarpong, took participants through the process of selection and how the National Council Committee decided on Permanex as the agency in charge of operating the system.

An IT expert, with interest in auditing corporate websites, commended the party for putting up an infrastructure that is first in the Political landscape of Africa. He urged all political parties to adopt same.

Present at the media Launch were some Parliamentary candidates, National/ Regional/Constituency officers and a host of media personnel from Ghana.

Some Business executives, diplomatic corps and IT experts were also present to witness what has been described as a “First class modern day infrastructure for a political Party.”
