NURSES ASSOCIATION REACTS

The Ghana Registered Nurses' Association (GRNA) has the right to belong to or join forces with similar workers associations as a means to forge ahead in attaining its objectives.

A statement signed by its national Assistant Public relations Officer, Mr Wilberforce Adade, expressed its objection to a statement from the Health service, Association of Committees for the Defence of the Revolution (ACDRs), which it claimed sought to portray the GRNA in bad light in view of its connection with the consultative forum.

According to the GRNA, the ACDRs have shown a great deal of ignorance about the formation of the forum and reminded them of the numerous positive roles the forum has played in bringing stability and industrial peace into the country.

It indicated that nurses are committed to giving their best care within their capabilities and also urged the public to appreciate the risks, hazards and stress under which nurses work in order to give them the necessary material to achieve health for all.
