NPP, NDC have run out of ideas; vote IPP – Akpaloo

Flagbearer of the Independent Peoples Party (IPP) says both the National Democratic Congress and the New Patriotic Party have run of key ideas needed in running the country.

He claims the lack of the two main political parties in the country ideas is manifested in theier reluctance to launch their manifestoes which is a policy document covering what they intend to do in all sectors of the economy.

Although Ghana goes to the polls in five months time to elect a president and 275 members of parliament, only the IPP has so far launched its manifesto.

The 30-paged manifesto is on the theme: “IPP Victory 2016; A new plan for jobs and wealth creation.”

Speaking on Onua FM’s Yen Sempa Friday, Mr Akpaloo told the host of the programme Kwame Karikari that both the NDC and the NPP is waiting on the other to launch the manifesto first so that the other can copy the ideas.

Mr Akpaloo said he is the saviour for Ghana arguing his policies will ensure the elimination of poverty from the country and create employment for the unemployed youth .

Confidence in EC Touching on the Electoral Commission, he said he has no doubt about the work of the Commission which has come under severe criticisms in the last months over its handling of the issues regarding the voter’s register.

Mr Akpaloo said overruled any suspicion that the EC could rig the election in favour of any political party, claiming that the only election obtained great credibility since 1992 is the 2012 election which ended at the Supreme Court for the determination of the Presidential results.

He premised his argument on the fact that Ghana used a biometric process for the 2012 elections.

On his chances of winning the election, he said he was optimistic because Ghanaian electorates are now fed up with both the NDC and the NPP, leaving his IPP the obvious choice.
