Many NDC MPs will lose their seats badly - Rawlings

Former President Rawlings has stated that majority of NDC parliamentarians will lose their seats 'badly' in the upcoming December polls.

Addressing delegates and supporters of the newly formed National Democratic Party at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Saturday, ex President Rawlings said “can you imagine the number of MPs on the NDC front who are going to lose? Many”.

He added that “it is not my wish for them to lose and lose that badly but because people want to carry out their perfidious agenda, money has to be used at congresses to vote out some of the most desirable and best candidates and put in place the candidates that government says I want.

“It won’t surprise me if Independent candidates and NDP candidates start beating them all over the place”.

Former President Rawlings also added that a proper revolution will hit the NDC after the 2012 elections.

According to him, though President Mahama has brought hope to the NDC, some elements within the party would have to leave to pave way for them to reunite with the NDC.

According to him, the revolution will have to take place so that they join hands together again.

The founder of the ruling NDC also used the occasion to advise the leadership of the NDP to humble and ensure probity and accountability should they win the 2012 elections.
