Mahama shouldn't even dare to lead NDC again - Sam Pyne

Ashanti Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sam Payne has cautioned former President John Dramani Mahama not to heed calls on him to lead the National Democratic Congress (NDC) into another battle in 2020.

Speaking on Peace FM's Kokrokoo, Sam Pyne stressed that the former President will suffer a very humiliating defeat for the second time should he dare decide to become the flagbearer for the party.

The NPP Ashanti Regional Secretary advised Mr. Mahama to "mind his business" with his wife, Lordina Mahama in order to avoid another disgrace on the family.

“He shouldn’t dare to seek to be President of Ghana again. He will be so disgraced that I’m sure when he goes, he will think deeply into it but will never understand it…He shouldn’t. He should stay with Lordina in the house and look at her back and say; Lordina, let’s sit here and mind our business," he counselled.

He, however, urged other members of the opposition party, particularly those whose names have come up for the flagbearer position to continue their quest while Ex-President John Mahama concentrates on his family.

"Don’t egg him on. Don’t prepare the ground for an NDC massive defeat," he warned the leadership of the NDC.
