Letter to the bereaved families and wounded in the Kintampo tragedy

Dear Parents, family members and friends,

The news of the tragedy at Kintampo has stunned the whole country. I am deeply sorry for your loss. There are no words I can offer that will make this any easier. I hope you find some comfort in knowing that the whole of Ghana shares your pain.

I pray that God will comfort and strengthen you during this difficult time. These were all beautiful young souls and we will always remember them as such.

I also pray for a speedy recovery for all the injured and pray they return home to their loved ones soon.

I pray that no other family would have to go through this ever again.

May the Almighty God watch over you all.
