Hearts of Oak coach Kenichi Yatsuhachi has downplayed the 3-0 loss suffered at the hands of Al Ahli on Tuesday.

The Japanese trainer is yet to win a game since being appointed coach of Hearts in October.

The Phobians’ poor pre-season form was made worse on Tuesday with Libyan club Al Ahli crashing them 3-0 in an international club friendly played in Tripoli.

But coach Kenichi Yatsuhachi seems not too bothered by the rising concerns of the fans over the poor results of the club as he strives to produce a quality side for next season.

“It is a preparation; nothing more and nothing less,” he said.

“Even if we had won, it would be just a preparation. It is one game to learn, and another opportunity to improve form.

“We need to improve every minutes, and we improved between the 1st and the 2nd half today.

“Looking forward to Friday match, another opportunity for us to improve.”
