Lawyer Maurice Ampaw, an Accra based private legal practitioner says he’s very angry with President Akufo Addo for turning a blind eye to the plight of a an innocent young girl, Sarah Kwablah.

According to Maurice Ampaw, the president as a lawyer should know the gravity of sexual offences committed by Ghana’s national team captain, Asamoah Gyan against Kwablah and start acting by now.

Lawyer Ampaw however says he was disappointed when he saw the president touring Gyan’s private residence instead of initiating steps to ensure the Ghana team’s captain was prosecuted.

He was speaking to host of Abusua FM’s entertainment review program, Austin Wood.

According to the lawyer, “I’m very angry with President Akufo Addo right now and if I should meet him, I will tell him in the face that he has disappointed Ghanaians.”

“The president is a respected lawyer and we all were expecting that he will ensure Asamoah Gyan was punished for what he did to the innocent young girl,” he charged.

“But what are we seeing, instead of exercising his powers as a president, he rather busy touring Gyan’s house as if he has never seen such a house before.”

“As a lawyer, he heard Asamoah Gyan had slept with Sarah through her back but was touring Asamoah Gyan’s house, does that make sense,” Ampaw asked angrily.

“Asamoah Gyan should be explaining to the law by now why he decided to sleep with the girl through her back which is a criminal offence in our law books.”
