Maurice Ampaw, lawyer for Sarah Kwabla; the university student accusing Black Stars skipper Asamoah Gyan of rape and sodomy has disclosed that he has not seen the purported sex video between his client and the player.

According to Lawyer Ampaw, as at Thursday morning whiles he was speaking on Oman fm, he had refused to see the said video which was a recording of a sexual encounter between his client and the Al Ain player.

Pushed by host Fiifi Boafo as to why he had not made the attempt to see it, he stated that he was not interested in seeing material which could be deemed 'offensive' to him, moreover his interest was in the civil proceedings not the criminal aspect which the state had to pursue.

He reiterated that the civil aspect of the case bothered on the footballer's refusal to properly maintain a lady who has gotten pregnant and cited him as the man responsible, especially so because there is a prior relationship between them.

Lawyer Ampaw goes further to accuse the footballer's camp of having leaked a one-sided story to the media even though he had tried to settle the matter amicably because of the personality of Asamoah Gyan.

He further denied vehemently that the family of the lady had agreed with the monthly maintenance fee of 2000 cedis claiming that the amount was a proposal that was subject to acceptance of the lady's family; a proposal they rejected.

Lawyer Kissi Agyebeng, who is the lawyer for the Black Stars captain, however, contends that 2000 per month for the lady was enough because any court would most likely offer less than that amount.

He posits that a defamation suit his client has filed against Ampaw was largely to account for his posture. He added that his client was going to follow the defamation case to its end. Lawyer Ampaw had blamed Asamoah Gyan for the disappearance of his friend Castro after they went skiing on a beach resort in Ada.
