"I Am Enjoying My Ride"-Juliet Ibrahim

Beautiful Ghanaian actress Juliet Ibrahim seems not to be perturbed at all about what a section of the public and the media are saying about her, since she took her turn to drive the four-in-one Ghana Movie Awards Car-prize, some weeks ago.

The “4Play” actress, who was criticized and described as greedy, told Peacefmonline.com in an exclusive interview, that she is having a nice time with the controversial SUV car.http://www.ameyawdebrah.com/

“I am having a great time with the car. It is nice when you are driving it in town. Everybody recognizes you fast and they would be greeting and staring at you. It is cool I just wish it there were four cars so that each one of us would own one”, Juliet stated.

Juliet took over the possession of the car, after actress and co-winner of the “Best Actress Awards” Roselyn Nggisah, used it for six weeks, in a short ceremony at the premises of TV3, on Wednesday October 5, 2011.

After the news broke out that the car was in her possession, several people tagged her as greedy because according them, she has her own car and she is married to a rich man, and yet she insisted on taking the car from Roselyn who doesn’t have her own car.

However, Juliet responded to this assertion on Peace FM’s “Entertainment Review”. She stressed that she was surprised some people were thinking that way, because she doesn’t think she is doing anything wrong. “I didn’t go begging for the car.

I won it with my other three sisters and I am taking my turn to drive the car because I have signed an agreement to drive the car to advertise the event and sponsors of the event, and I am doing just that”, principled Juliet stated.

The car is still with Juliet who is expected to hand over it to fellow actress and co-winner Yvonne Okoro after her six weeks use. Prince Kyegah, Events Coordinator of Ghana Movie Awards, disclosed to Peacefmonline.com that Yvonne has also expressed her interest in driving the car. Prince said Yvonne Okoro’s manager Nana Aba Anamoah, has confirmed that the actress is on stand-by to take over from Juliet.

Four actresses Juliet Ibrahim, Yvonne Okoro, Roselyn Ngissah and Jackie Appiah won the car as part of their shared award for “Best Actress in Lead role” (English) at the maiden edition of Ghana Movie Awards in December last year.

The four actresses who played the role as four friends in the award winning movie “4Play”, were supposed to agree on how they were going to use the car after it was officially presented to them in January 2011, but until August when the car was presented to Roselyn, they had not been able to come to a consensus, even though Jackie Appiah had publicly declared that she had opted out of using the car and sharing any dividends that will accrue from the sale of the prize car.

Juliet Ibrahim is currently in Nigeria on two different locations working on two new productions. The first movie with working title “FCT”, is being shot in Abuja produced by Chidi Chijoke. Aside Juliet the movie also stars a number of Nollywood stars including; Ebube Nwagbo, Chika Ike and Funke Akindele.

The second movie is a royal movie titled “The Prince Dilemma” in which Juliet is playing the role of a princess of the land who fell in love with a poor man.

“The Prince Dilemma” stars Juliet Ibrahim, Frank Artus, Ngozi Ezeuno, Nkem Ike and other Nigerian movie stars. The movie is directed by Ifeanyi. Juliet is also preparing to launch her Kidney Cancer Foundation in December 2011.
