Here Comes Your Tainted “President”: Akufo-Addo’s Closet revealed

The flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), has more than skeletons in his closet. The True Statesman has uncovered some shocking revelations that could threaten his presidential ambition. Nana Akufo-Addo’s early days at Ga-mashie was quite disturbing. Whiles living in Korle Wonko, a suburb of Accra, his favorite hide-out was a joint behind Swalaba public toilet’ well noted for gang of drug users. His dad, Edward Akufo-Addo, a Political activist who got fed up with Nana’s delinquency, gangsterism and notoriety sent him abroad to study in Oxford University, hoping that he will change.

In Oxford, his gangsterism and notoriety grew worse as he embraced drugs the more, without paying attention to his book. He failed his first year (2nd semester) Exam and was sacked from Oxford. Languishing in the streets of London Nana Akufo-Addo was spotted by Justice Philip Edward Archer, then a judicial Secretary who informed Nana's father about him. But his father’s response was revealing; "I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THIS BOY ANYMORE, HE DISGRACES ME EVERY WHERE I SEND HIM.” Justice Archer brought Akufo-Addo back to Ghana, and he was sent to University of Ghana-Legon to pursue law but was refused admission as a result of bad grades. Luckily for him, he was admitted in the School of Administration, to read economics. During this period, Nana’s dad became the chief justice in the National Liberation Council (NLC) administration, after the overthrew of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. On campus, Nana Addo became "PUBLIC ENEMY NO. 1,” with no respect for anybody including his lecturers. He impregnated a student called Virginia Hersey and denied responsibility, leading to Virginia’s shameful expulsion from campus.

Akufo-Addo’s father became a prime Minister over the year and Nana’s opulence and arrogance got to its peak. On his way from campus one day, he killed an elderly person with his car and run over him without stopping. It took a combined effort of the police and military to stop him, only to realize it was the prime Minister’s son.

When the matter went before Justice Koranteng, Akufo-Addo was ordered never to drive on the street of Ghana again. Eventually, he failed on campus and was given a THIRD CLASS HONOR over his father’s consideration. After school, Nana Addo married his first wife Remi, from a prominent Nigerian family. He molested her and succeeded in turning her into drug addict. When Remi’s family couldn’t take the abuse of their daughter any longer, they came for her, leaving their two children. Nana Addo later got married to his second wife, Ellen Nkansah Gyamena, who he always beat up for refusing to do drugs and for complaining whenever Akufo-Addo brought home other women to defile their marital bed. Ellen couldn’t stand it anymore so that marriage also broke up leaving a child between them until he finally married Recacca Griffiths-Randolph his third wife.
