GFA seals deal with Samsung to sponsor GPL

Ghana Football Association has landed a lucrative sponsorship deal with the world's largest electronics company, Samsung, Kickgh.com can exclusively reveal.

The Ghana Premier League has been without a sponsor after Capital Bank suspended its contract before the start of the season.

An insider of the former Chelsea FC Shirt sponsor confirmed the deal to Kickgh.com

"We have reached an agreement with them [Ghana Football Association], but details of the deal will be announced soon."

"They wrote a proposal to us, and it was accepted after holding meetings with the President [Kwesi Nyantakyi]"

The South Korean electronics firm signed a three-year contract with the football governing body, as Kickgh.com understands.

The deal is expected to be announced before the kick-off of the Second round of the Ghana Premier League.
