Foundation Donates Books To Schools

Tema, (Greater Accra) 30 Oct.,

The Tower of Return Foundation (TRF), a non-governmental organisation which seeks to bring development to 13 traditional areas in Ghana, yesterday donated a computer and books worth 7.5 million cedis to schools in five towns. The computer, the first to be donated to a public school in Tema, went to the Ghana Education Service together with some books while the rest of the books went to Sekondi, Tefle, Anomabu and Akwamu. Nii Adjei Kraku the second, Tema Mantse and vice-president of the TRF, presented the items to representatives of the beneficiary communities at a brief ceremony in Tema. The computer and the books were donations from the staff of Federal Express, churches and some communities of Memphis, Tennessee in the U.S. through the foundation which is working with some Africans in the diaspora for the development of the member communities. Nii Adjei Kraku said the foundation is a unified voice representing the economic, social and cultural interest of the 13 Ghanaian towns - Tema, Akwamu, Tefle, Cape Coast, Shai, Anomabu, Ada, Komenda, Sekondi, Mayera, Nsawam, Elmina and Moree.
