Fathers urged to be responsible

Rector of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Apatrapa Rectorate, Rev. Fr. Ebenezer Obeng has called on Father's in the universe to be responsible.

Speaking on fathers day at the St. Peter's Catholic Church during three days climax of Kumasi Archdiocesan Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) Annual management council meeting said most parents have ignored their responsibility and has caused immoral activities such as robbery, drug abuse, prostitution and many more which has decreased the country's development.

According to him, by divine design, fathers are to preside over their families in love and righteousness and are responsible to provide the necessities of life and protection for their families.

Father's are expected to provide for the physical and spiritual needs of the family.

He advised Fathers to respect their wives and cooperate with them to give better training to the children.

The newly elected officers for the Kumasi Archdiocesan CYO executives were installed into office.

He called on authorities and leaders in the country to serve their people with humility, polite, prudent, patience perseverance and avoid arrogance of power.
