Former coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko David Duncan has regretted parting ways with the Porcupine Warriors.

Duncan whose contract was mutually terminated by the club on Thursday June 23, declared his regret at leaving the former African champions in his appreciation letter to the club.

“It’s with great regret that I leave such a great club, but such is the nature of the industry. We may not have absolute control over how some of its ending plays out.”

Duncan was appointed Kotoko coach in March 2015 to replace Mas-Ud Dramani. He handled 20 matches in the 2014/15 Premier League and guided the club from the lower ranks of the league table to a respectable second position.

Duncan was also in-charge of Kotoko’s FA Cup campaign and only lost in the final under controversial circumstances to Medeama at Sekondi.

He as well led the Porcupines in the second leg of the CAF Champions League, second preliminary match which they lost 2-1 to Algerian side, Eulma at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
