Chereponi NDC Constituency holds congress

Chereponi (Northern Region), Sept. 24, '98

The Chereponi constituency of the National Democratic Congress has held its annual delegates congress at Chereponi to elect new party executives. The MP Alhaji Yahaya said his constituency has seen a "drastic improvement" since the NDC come to power. Alhaji Yahaya said the constituency had been neglected in terms of development but it was now receiving the government's fulll support in its educational and development of other infrastructures. It will get a new six-classroomed block at Wanjoga, Tambongo, Ando- Tosara and Gerinkuka. Nansoni and Wenchiki will also get new JSS blocks. Alhaji Yahaya expressed satisfaction at the rate of construction of a 200- millon-cedi market at Chereponi . He called on the new executive members of the party to be good leaders and not bosses so as to win more people to the party.
