Head coach of the Black Stars of Ghana, Avram Grant has shared the same taught with Rwanda’s trainer Jonny Mckinstry with respect to the poor state of the Amahoro’s pitch.

The Amahoro stadium will be hosting Group H 2017 Afcon qualifier between host Rwanda and the Black Stars of Ghana on Saturday as both sides hope to win the three maximum points at stake.

The last time Ghana played at that same venue was in 2003 but they succumbed to a 1-0 defeat to the Amavubi’s of Rwanda which eventually qualified the East African side to their first Afcon tourney in 2004 held in Tunisia.

And ahead of the Saturday’s clash, the head coach of the Black Stars, Avram Grant has expressed his worry with respect to the poor state of the Amahoro pitch.

“I think I agree with the Coach of the Uganda side and the local media because the State of the Pitch is terrible and very difficult to play technical football on the pitch,” Grant said

“It is not good for the football but that is what we have except it has the ability of causing us injuries.”

“We need to know that this is the pitch and we need to take all the three points.”

Rwanda won 1-0 away over Mozambique in their opening 2017 Afcon qualifier while Ghana thrashed Mauritius 7-1 in Accra, due to their respective scoreline both teams are tied on the same points but the Black Stars top the table with a superior difference.
