CID continues investigations into missing 77 parcels of cocaine

Accra, Oct. 27, GNA - The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service on Friday said the department was continuing with investigations into the missing 77 parcels of cocaine from the vessel MV Benjamin as well as other cocaine-related cases that had been in the news in recent times.

A statement issued and signed by Mr David Asante-Apeatu, Director General of CID, requested that any person with information on any of the persons or matters involved in the said cocaine cases should

The statement further urged the public to submit any information on general crimes in the country or in the Greater Accra Region to cid@ghanapolice.org or call 021-761728 or 028-5053799.

It said the numbers may be called from 0800 to 1700 and assured the public that any information received would be treated with utmost confidentiality.

The statement stated that telephone numbers were for the purpose of receiving information and not to be used as police emergency numbers.
