Andre Ayew leads Black Stars players in Asamoah Gyan’s absence

Andre Ayew will lead the Black Stars team in camp following the Asamoah Gyan’s absence.

The Fenebache forward will lead the team in their final Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Kenya on Saturday at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Gyan, who was excluded from Ghana’s squad after suffering an injury.

Head coach of the national team, Kwesi Appiah named a 24-man squad that includes five debutantes and others that are making a return to the team after years out.

The Black Stars are poised for revenge over Kenya after suffering a narrow defeat to the Eastern Africans last September.

A place at the top of the group is also at stake and a win for Ghana will see them finish leaders.
