Declaring For The NDC Is A Betrayal Of Dr. Hilla Limann
PNC MP’s, Chiefs and people of Gwollu declare
The re-elected PNC MP of Sisala West, Hon Haruna Bayariga, the current PNC MP of Sisala East, Hon Moses Dani Baah and the Chiefs and people of Gwollu(ex-president Limann’s Hometown) have unanimously declared that, it was a betrayal on Dr. Limann for any genuine PNC Member to support the NDC.
Speaking at the forecourt of his palace, the Chief of Gwollu Kuri-Buktie Limann IV, expressed shock at the news that some PNC members were declaring support for the NDC, a party that overthrew the PNC and failed to care for the ex-president. He therefore urged all well meaning PNC members to re-consider their decision since it tantamount to stabbing the deceased leader in the back.
Also speaking on the same issue, the two PNC MPs were of the view that, it was an unpardonable betrayal for any true blooded and genuine PNC member to even fathom supporting the NDC. ‘Don’t forget it was Rawlings who overthrew Dr. Limann and humiliated him until his death’. Therefore, how could a true PNC member support the party that overthrew our party, made our leader live his last days in squalor and watched him die by refusing to take care of his medical bills? He asked.
They advised the party members to rally behind the NPP by campaigning and voting massively for Nana Akufo-Addo since he had the vision of bridging the gap between the northern and southern Ghana.
A cross section of the residents of Gwollu shared the view expressed by their leaders and expressed their desire not to betray the founder of their party. One resident interviewed, Musah Alhassan was strongly supportive of the view that he vowed never to vote for the NDC. ‘Even if by mistake I vote for the NDC, I will ask the EC to open the ballot box so I can correct the mistake’ he retorted.
Speaking on behalf of the NPP, the vice-presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia thanked the chiefs and people for the support and advised them to come out in their numbers on the 28th so together Ghanaians will once again vote to reject the “sankofa change” being proposed by the NDC - GNA
